Douglas, slow down! You're making the rest of us look bad!
Today I added the 100th link in this series of Tutorials.
I am now aiming at 200
There are a few very important topics that I have not really touched yet.Things like Media Management, Consolidating, Colour Correction etc. They will appear eventually. But for now I will be continuing to jump around all over the place. It seems that, as I intended, those who are finding things of use in the tutorials are glad of the basic and simplistic view I try to give.I intend the tutorials to give viewers a way of getting involved in the different topics and then from there they can study the many polished tutorials by the real experts that go into depth and detail. My other intention is that viewers can add their own suggestions and tips in the threads.I make mistakes, but I have nothing against constructive criticism and advice. Please don't hold back if you feel the need to correct me .Back to the drawing board!
Really great.
Most of the tutorails are very 'overwhelming' . Yours are very obvious! Thanks.

That's great, Douglas ! Thank you !
if you are not worki'n in Avid company yet - I'm really don't know what about they thinkin' of...
Yesterday, April 1st, was not a good day for posting Tutorials
But now, we're back.Tutorial 102 is now uploaded.A little different from my others, but I hope it will be of interest and of use to many of you.
Tutorial 103 is on the go - it will look at some very basic facts about AvidFX.
Douglas thank you for taking the time to make all these tutorials you seem to be a very sweet man, a little lacking in dynamic range but not everyone is perfect.

I have added a new tutorial today, Sunday 12th April.
It may help you find your way in the "Authoring Jungle" as far as getting the best quality DVD and/or Blu-Ray output from HDV 1080i source material goes.
Douglas,
I remembered from a tutorial that to be safe you sometimes add keyframes to all parameters.
I recently learned that keyframes, even if they have no values set take up memory and system resources. While I would think this would be a minuscule amount, apparently its enough that MC 3.5 no longer defaults to placing blank keyframes at the beginning and ending of an effect.
In light of that info, it seems selecting the parameter and choosing Add to Active Parameter may be a good way to go when adding keyframes.
Thank MUCH for sharing all your hard work w/ us.
I agree with you 100%.
The "canny" scot in me thought it would be the safest way - adding keyframes for "all parameters".
However with the latest information, that we both seem to have read, it would be more efficient to take time to be more selective about which parameters need to be keyframed and which don't.
Thanks for pointing this out for others to read!
Thank you everyone for the many visits to my Tutorials thread.I noticed that a short time ago that the number of views has passed 30,000!
I hope that I have been able to help most of you with some of the many aspects of MC.
I'd just like to say, "Sorry" that I haven't posted any new Tutorials for over 1 week. This is not a sign of my inspiration running out. It is just that I have had a few other jobs to do and have not had a chance to spend time on the Tutorials.I hope to be adding tutorials again, by the end of this coming week.
3 new Tutorial added this morning.Probably a 4th will be added later today.I noticed a few very basic questions being asked recently on the Forums, so I thought that a few "Before Basics" Tutorials might be useful.
Monday 11th May - It looks like I have broken something on this forum thread by posting such a long initial post!
If you scroll down the first post until you come to my, "Regards, Douglas" and then continue......... you will find a whole heap of "Regards, Douglas" [:'(]
When I tried to remove them all I get a "Stack overflow" error!!!!!!! I hope that Adam and his team will be able to fix this when they wake up later in the USA.
In the meantime, I am sorry I cannot post the 3rd and final Tutorial on AvidDVD subtitles.
Douglas, your work is singular... a unique reference in Avid MC! Don´t worry! System and human erros happens every day.
Your tutorials are great!
regards
