    DVD authoring - loop movies

Can anyone recommend DVD authoring software where you can set a "loop" end action for each individual movie (where there are multiple movies on one  DVD)?

Some background first. My workflow is: Export Quicktime reference, encode MPEG (DVDPal Large) in Squeeze, author encoded file in DVDit. These are the applications that came bundled with Avid and are lite versions with limited settings.

My problem is while I can set loop end actions in DVDit, my final product is no longer high quality. The resolution is less than if I make a straight dub from the Avid timeline with digital cut to a stand alone DVD recorder. My guess is that the material is being compressed twice, once in Squeeze then again in DVDit. As far as I can see you can't set DVDit lite to not compress again. Or can you?

So I'm looking for alternative authoring software. Any suggestions, advice pleae?

Encore works. In your situation I would look at DVDLab Pro. Less expensive and you can easily take a disk from a standalone recorder and open its files in DVDLab. From there you can reauthor a new DVD anyway you want. Looping is very straight forward.

Thanks for the continued dongle support

Another vote for Encore.  We use it all the time with this type of workflow.
