    Some of our shooters have been seriously looking into these AVCHD cameras. One of our shooters refuses to to use the P2 part of his DVCPRO HD camera because he doesn't trust it and others are wary because of the cost of the cards. Now AVCHD uses SD cards. They're almost as cheap as tape and that's very inviting. Not having to wipe the card and having the SD card as a backup is really what we're interested in. We do long form docs and sometimes we have 400-500 tapes to work with. To replace that with SD cards really would be dynamite.

    That is quite interesting. They don't want to use a media designed professionally but are willing to use consumer SD cards?

    I'm not saying SD cards are bad, but the logic of your shooter is a bit inconsistent, unless I am misreading your comments?
