every time I launch MC, I get this error message.  You system caledar and clock need to be set to the current date and time or problems may result? I put a new battery in and still have this problem.

I set the date and time correct and still have this problem.

What did I not do???????????????  Huh?

I also got that error when I was using that set up.  It's probably a software bug.  They may not have expected people to be still using that system in 2008.  I think you can just ignore the message

That's what I thought.  There's a timeout in the Avid code that kicked in on Jan 1, 2006 I believe.  Essentially the code is only dated to that point.  The issue is in the Avid code, not your computer.  You only have two options to defeat this issue.  One is to change the date and time to a fake time to "trick" the Avid software into thinking it's pre-2006.  Or you can just click past the error message each time you boot and ignore it.  It in fact will have 0 impact on your editing.  I too have an ABVB suite in the back room and just click past it.  No problems.

Thank You I will take the second option and by-pass it. You too seem to have a-lot of knowledge on the older avid system, that still works great.
