    trying to install AXP 5.6 on OS X 10.5.5

    does not install, at the very end I get the error message "run postflight script for Avid Codecs LE" - meaning I should do what?

    I don't think Avid Xpress Pro runs on Leopard.  You are going to have to upgrade to Media Composer 3 or install Mac OS X Tiger in order to run Xpress Pro

    Thanks! Yeah, was afraid sometihing like that would be the case - well, just another changeing from pc (XP) to mac thing/experience :)

    Yep, in order to run an Avid product on Leopard, it must be MC 3.0 or higher.

    Thx again! This is where we've come to - buy a product (license) and find it's bull after 4 years ... not only going from pc to mac or vice versa, but grazie all system developers ... :)

    4 year old software will work on 2 year old hardware if that's any consolation.  The problem comes when you try to update anything...
