Doing an EX job. Not sure how they originally got the media in. They made a copy of the media they were using and the project for us.
They were offlining on a Mac, we are finishing on a PC. When we load the sequence we get the above error. We narrowed it down to about 8 clips that cause this error. Exception: MXFMapper::ReadRange - Index Table Set Key not found at expected offset
We had the client copy those over again. They then played fine. So we loaded the sequence with just those clips online and all was good. Then when we would put the other media back online, it would automatically relink to the original bad clips.
We were attempting to get all the good media to one drive via consolidating and relinking, but found that there are some serious relinking issues with EX files as they have NO tape name. Tried adding tape names, but you can't add a tape name to an EX clip even after unlinking.
Finally the client brought over their original drive with media which they were working off of with no problems. The same error popped up. Took the project to a Mac MC and it was fine. Since the client needed their drive back, we started copying (6 hours) it off to our system.
While copying we decided to work on the project we already had as we could park on a frame without getting the error, we just couldn't play. Miraculously, it was working fine all of the sudden. All media online, played fine. Life was good.
Eventually the system ran out of memory and had to be restarted. Back to the above error.
I'm befuddled.
I see Greg Huson had this error before. Also found several post in the community forums with it but no resolutions. Anyone ever find a solution?

You got it Marianna. :-)
Did anybody find a solution for this one? Got a similar error message on my PC which I use for mastering my edit. It's Exception:MXFMapper::ReadRange-Unable to read the Index Table from the file. Anybody, please help!?
Was there ever a solution found for this?
I've just got it on a PC running MC 3.1.3 with HDV footage. And of course the HDV footage was captured without timecode which will make things tricky if I have to redigitise.
cheers
Campbell
I never heard anything on it.
darn! guess i'll have to redigitise and recut.
