One of the few times I have to grab the mouse when I'm working on a sequence is if I have to do an asymmetric edit. It would be nice if you could choose different sides of the edit for each track using keyboard shortcuts.
For example you could hold down alt-shift (opt-shift - I chose this key combination cos it doesn't seem to be used anywhere else) and then hit the key for the track selector (8, 9, 0 etc) and that track would toggle between left, right or both sides of the edit.
So you could jump into trim mode, press your shortcut for choosing the right-side of all the edits, then just press alt-shift-8 and the V1 track switches over to the left-side.
Does that sound like a good idea?
cheers,
Campbell
I believe that you can.

There should be commands for:

Yes but these commands work on all the tracks. If you want the A side of the video and the B side of the audio then you need to shift-click on the timeline with the mouse to select them.
What I'd like is an additional keyboard shortcut that lets you toggle the trim side of individual tracks.
