MC direct to AvidDVD (DVDitProHD) or through a 3rd party Encoder?

There is an ongoing debate as to whether it is wiser to use a 3rd. party software to prepare files before importing them into  AvidDVD (DVDitProHD) or not.

I prefer the direct to AvidDVD (DVDitProHD) approach and explain why in this short presentation.

    Regards
    Douglas

    I checked it.

    It plays perfectly.

One tip: It seems that the Avid site is experiencing a slowdown just now.
When this happens, it can sometimes help things if you "Signout" from the community and try again as a "guest"
    Good Luck

    Avidon:

    macbookpro / 10.4.11 / safari 3.2.1

Avidon, the flash playback controller does not work with Safari on the Mac. You should have no problem with Firefox 2.0 and higher on the Mac. Future upgrade to Avid Community will resolve the Safari incompatibility.
