Import WMV files directly into AVID MC

I wonder if there is a way to import WMV file into AVID media composer without first convertion to QT. there must be a sort of a plug-in which gives yiu this option but i'm not familiar with it.

Easiest converter to use is Blaze Media Pro.

well you can open them into windows movie maker and save as dv.avi compliant

and them import into your avid

Sorenson Squeeze converts to several Avid compatible formats too, and it's coming bundled with Avid, no need to shop for another software. Regarding Your question: sorry, this means no direct import, but Squeeze on a fast machine is quite efficient.
