I have a video sequence and an audio sequence both of 1 1/2 hours. I imported both into Avid and they sync up in the time line. Now I want to mix them down together and end up with one movie that I can then have in my composer window and can edit into my timeline just like any other movie you import into Avid. Is there a way to do this without having to export and then re import the whole sequence with both audio and video. Hope that makes sense. It will save a lot of time if anyone can help.

Could you use the autosync command. I am away from my Avid right now but I think it is under clip heading. You can sync by timecode, in point or other various methods.
Thanks but I couldn't find it under clip (or in the other tabs). Under clip it has audio mixdown and video mixdown but not both together to make a new movie I can use.
Are you working on MC or Xpress pro? If you on express pro, you won't find that feature, it is only on MC. You could always just export a QT Ref and reimport. Hope that helps.
It should be in Xpress Pro under the Bin menu.

Dom Q. Silverio: It should be in Xpress Pro under the Bin menu.
Thanks- I looked in my version of Xpress pro and didn't find it, but I am running ver 4.6.
I am not in front of my Avid, but I think if you copy the sequence into your clipboard monitor, left click the monitor with your mouse and drag it to the bin you want, the Avid should create a new clip.

yes, you mark your sequence and copy the whole thing with "alt+c" to your sourcemonitor or you drag the sequence while presssing "alt" from your recordwindow to your bin, this will create a sub sequence which you can load to your source moniter and so on..,
