While filming with my Sony HVR-A1u camera, I must have either taken this particular tape out or rewound it to view it, (and then continued recording,) but at that point, the timecode got reset on it. The beginning of this particular tape starts at 00:00:00:00 but runs until 00:20:04:00 and at that point resets at 00:00:00:00 (which is where I either removed the tape or made a blank space on the tape,) and then finishes at the end of the tape at 00:45:03:00. An this is how Avid captured it.
My goal is to edit in this DV25 format and later batch capture the final sequence in HDV. Will batch capturing be possible when it tries to find clips in this tape? ie/ if it's trying to find a clip that's at 00:10:00:00, it could take it now from 2 spots on the tape!
Will batch capturing not work for this tape or is there something I can do to work with this situation?

Any idea why the timecode reset itself on this tape? I wonder if I will have the same issues with many of my other 60 tapes because of something I did while filming.
set your camera to record run and not to reset and was the tape used beforethat can happen with used tapes
