myopic, dyslexic, can't really tell, but I cannot locate the 3.0.5 ReadMe on the Knowledge Base. Tried a search several times, but no joy. How about a link? Sorry for the bother...
Often, the Readme isn't posted to the KB for several days after the product is released. However, the ReadMe is a separate download on the KB.

I'm sure they are, Mr. Rike. I bumped into ReadMe's from several different iterations, but was hoping to see 'under the hood' of 3.0.5 w/o having to buy the software first. I'll be patient and wait for them to post it. I thought that since BLKDOG referred to the KB for that particular information, it'd be available currently, that's all. Thanks for the reply!
If your MC v2.8 is registered, you have access to the Download Center ... no charge.
Does this version fix the apple/avid firewire bug?
10.5.5 fixed this.
I installed 3.05 and have crashes every 10-20 mins. The 30" thing seems to be gone, though.
Did permissions repair and PR RAM reset, didn't help.
What about this group permission thing - setting staff to user name - how do I do this in leopard or is there any other workaround I missed?
Wat soll dä Quatsch?
Sven, what version were you running prior to 3.0.5? Did you have a stable system prior to the update?
What form do the crashes take? Beach ball? App Quit? What happens?
I ran 3.0 on 10.5.5
Stable system? My Mac is very stable, the AVID wasn't. Mostly I had the beach ball. Occasionally segmentation fault or bus error.
So I force quit and restart the program again. ( On earlier versions I had to reboot the MAC, but that's not needed anymore).
It's a little more stable right now, during the day. I suspected some DV stuff I worked with, but I'm not sure, because it happened with other stuff as well. As always it's hard to tell, what causes it.
Now the funny thing: I just had a bus error warning in a proper Avid window, not the white one. I pressed the ok button, and went on working, as if nothing had happened.
On 10.4. I was doing quite well, after I set the group permissions to my OS user. Does that work on 10.5.?
What I also had, was f.e. I opened the transition window and get a white blank rectangle. The content hung in the upper left corner. Pressed Enter and the white disappeared, the corner image was still there. Moving a bin wipes it away. On 3.0 I had this very often. Today with 3.05 once.
Ok, so I just need to check, when you installed 3.x on Leopard, did you do an archive and install of the OS before installing 3.x? This is a must for the new software.
Also, 10.5.5 is still not supported. It's working here but I do have to say that it could still be causing problems/
Aha. Ok. I'll try this and keep observing.
Renn: Does this version fix the apple/avid firewire bug?
Curious about that too. Though the fact that it's been tested with 10.5.4 would suggest that the answer is a no for Leopard users.
Guys, Avid cannot make a version of the software that fixes Apple's bug. Only Apple can do that. 10.5.5 fixes the bug. Though Avid has not yet certified it, a lot of us are using it with success.
BLKDOG,
Do I need the PYRO1394 PCI Express card for my MOJO on Mac pro 3.2, or I can use the onboard FW?
Thanks.
