Batch Capture without discarding the original media??

I have a TX master which has been mixed from 5 sources. It has no sound, and there are some errors in the mix. I need to correct the errors and replace the sound. I need to produce group clips with the TX leading and the picture and sound from the 5 other sources - based on the original TX captures. All timecodes on all sources are synced so i figured I could do something along the line of this

1 - Copy TX captures into another bin

2 - Batch capture with a different source tape to create an exact match, just on the one camera

3 - Repeat 2 for the remaining sources

4 - Sync all sources to create the group clips I need

When I attempt to batch capture I can only do this by replacing the offline media (I want to keep the original online) or discarding the original media (I want to keep the original).

Does anyone know a way around this, or a better workflow to achieve the same result??

    Any help well received!!

    Cheers
