Leopard Mac Pro with Lanshare 4.1.6 and odd prompt

I just installed 5.1 Unity client on a Mac pro that came with leopard and I got the a prompt for a log on and password. We already have 3 PC avids online with this Unity, we just use log ons and no passwords yet when I try them it says there it can't communicate with the server. When the message first popped up after installing it had a defualt log on which was the user name for the mac itself. Is it prompting for a user that is not one we would use to mount certain workspaces like the PC's or is there an actual problem with the communication to the unity? Also as of right now there are no HFS partitions on the Unity only HTFS.

There is no file system to worry about with Unity.

However, based on what you've written, I would STRONGLY suggest you stop touching the Unity, and call in a Unity ACSR to look at this.

If you keep poking at it, I'm pretty sure something will end up in catastrophe.
