Hello again,

Does anyone know if there is any difference in the keyboard layout for Avid Xpress DV, Pro and Media Composer?

I have currently got a XpressDV Keyboard that I am using with a PRO 4.6 system and was wondering if I am missing any keys?  Also thinking about upgrading to Media Composer 3.0 so will I need to get a new keyboard or could anyone tell me where any additional keys/changed keys go?

 if u want's shortcuts look at the media composer help menu then choose short cutkeys there u get so many. this one is better

Yes, there are differences, but since so many people have migrated from Xpress to MC, Avid supply a settings file with MC3 which mimics the Xpress layout.  You can continue to use your existing keyboard without issue.

I moved my setting from Xpresspro to Composer so it works exactly the same as it did in Xpro

when the people are upgrading the softwere they will set the keys globle method like we are using ctr+c to cut. ctrl+v to paste. so the write the programming and set the same for all. they look the all thing so it works to upgrade vertion it won't work in backword vertion not all some keys
