Has anybody else had this problem? We use a Telestream Flip Factory to convert and push files to our Unity system via TransferManager. Intermittently, the TM Server service will just shut down by itself causing the transfer to fail.We are on the most current version of TM server- v.2.9.22 which was suppose to fix this. Could it be a problem with our Flip Factory? The TM Client on the FF matches the TM Server version. Any ideas?

Keith, where are you in DC? What company? Do you guys have assurance?

Our system is at Reuters Video News (a.k.a.- Reuters Television). And, yes, we have the Avid Assurance on the system. Why do you ask?
Have you contacted support about this? I'm sure that they could get this fixed for you faster than we could here.
Let me know if you need a contact and I can have someone call you.
Rebuild the Transfer Manager server from the ground up.
When it gets cranky, that's what you do. It's what I do.
Thanks Jeff. Support was supposed to give them a call.
Did you guys ever hear from them Keith?
I've been in contact with Avid tech support on this problem over the last several months. The fix that they suggested was to go to the lastest version- 2.9.22 which I recently installed. This fixed the problem for about 3 weeks and it is now back.
I just casting about to try and see if I'm missing something. Could it be in the Telestream Flip Factory that is usually sending files to Unity? Could it be a hardware problem? Or is it in the OS?
A full install- as in wipe the OS, install the drivers etc. and bring it back into the Unity system? Seems drastic for an intermittent problem but I guess it would fix it.
Since the main use of TransferManager for us now is to import files via a Telestream Flip Factory, could the Flip Factory be doing something to the TM?
Could be but that's not where I'd look first. The transfer from Filp Factory is a pretty simple step. I'd look at the TM as the source of the problem first.
Also, please keep me posted on this Keith. If you don't get it resolved soon, we'll get someone on it.
