I've just upgraded to MC 3 from Xpress Pro 5.8 and have encountered a new error message. When playing out a clip in multi cam (same if I play 8 cameras or 4) the clip quits playing after a few seconds and I get the message " <className>::<methodName>() CONSISTENCY CHECK FAILURE!?!:[<dNum>] . I'm guessing this might relate to memory, but would love to hear from someone who knows more than I (which would be pretty much the whole Avid Community)!
Thanks,
Piggylou
Hi
Maybe it can help. I think I had similar problem in 2.7X version. This is my workaround
Try to disable the video monitor in the timeline (the one that is near the V1 in the timelime). Then play for few sec. the timeline without displaying the video.
Enable again the video and I think it should be OK.
Good luck.
dor,
Thanks for the thought but it doens't work for me. Anyone else seen this - <Consistency Check Failure>?

hmm..
After you upgraded to MC3, did you upgrade your NVIDIA drivers and QuickTime as well?
Yep, everything is up to spec according to the Avid site. It only happens with the HD codecs.
what happens if you close the sequence and reload it?
If that doesnot work quit mc, dump media databases and mcstate and restart avid.

I saw the other posts regarding closing the sequence or turning off the video monitor, but it had no effect on this particular problem, nor does dumping the databases and mcstate files. I appreciate the reply though! Any other thoughts?
