Hey Folks...
This is my first time working in PAL and im having some issues. I need to make an uncompressed PAL quicktime in order for the transfer house to make a NTSC D-Beta master.
Anytime I export an NTSC sequence "same as source" I get perfect results. But my PAL quicktime "same as source" is stuttery and has some major interlacing issues. I've tried almost every setting I could find playing with field order etc...
Does anyone know how I can get this exported ASAP, having it look the way it should?
Thanks so much!
Hi,
Are you in an NTSC or a PAL project? Is your footage NTSC or PAL?
good luck,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website

I am working with PAL footage on a 25i PAL timeline.

Ok, so far so good. What are your specific export settings? If you go into every option and see what's actually set, what are the settings?
Thanks for the quick replys Carl, much appreciated!
Well, usually when I export "same as source" there aren't settings to set...it just exports it the same as the source footage. Am I right im assuming that?
As for settings i've played with, I feel like i've tried them all. I know a lot of it is trial and error, and I recently exported the trailer for this film for our website and had no problems, but it wasn't same as source, it was an MPEG-4 at a smaller bit rate. But I want this to be uncompressed. I tried various settings on "Avid Meridian Uncompressed" with no luck.
I guess at the end of the day, I need this quicktime to be as close to the original 1:1 PAL D-Beta footage as possible. That's why ideally I want it "same as source". Do you have to change settings for "same as source"?
Thanks again!
