anyone know if or when digi 003 will be supported? please help

anyone have any insight into where current things stand with the digi 003 (I am aware that it is unsupported currently but wondering if or when this might change)

i have the cash to expand the audio side of my setup and really would like to incorporate the digi 003.  i do not mind having to dual boot or putting protools and and media composer on seperate systems, i just would like to be able to by a console that i can use with both.

this will all be used on a new HP workstation, i know my system info says mac pro but that will become designated for another MC setup as I am sure the digi 003 would be supported in avid on a windows machine before on a mac

i am aware and have looked into the Command|8 but dont really want to tag team this with an mbox just to have something that works with both my avid setup and protools setup. i really could use the more I/Os of the digi 003 and dont want to settle for less with an mbox unless thats my only choice and buying a digi 003 for protools and a command|8 just for avid seems a bit absurd to me

I know that the digi 002 is supported and works in media composer but the only way to get one these days from my research is somewhere used like through ebay which i think others can sympathize that i really do not want to go the route of taking the risk of buying used and going through ebay, ebay can be a gamble at times and i dont like unecessary risks like that.

so if anyone can provide any info it would be much appreciated or at least if someone could point me in the direction of someone at avid that I could get in contact with that could at least tell me if it will ever work

i could get my local reseller to do the research but my local reseller isnt local right now. im up in a remote lodge in alaska talking to all you through satellite where communication is anything but reliable and in october when i head back to portland, oregon i will have a huge other project that is basically waiting for me there and want to get as much as i can setup so when i return from "the bush" i can hit the ground running and get to work instead of having to figure out the logistics then

please if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! Big Smile

and in return i will name a brown bear after you(where I am there are currently 30 to 40 in the area we see often)  i will send you a picture of your brown bear and that bear will forever be known as your name(or any name you provide! maybe you have a child that would like to name one!)  all of them are very distinguishable and its amazing how each have their own unique personalities!

oh by the way i was always told that black bears climb trees and brown bears cant but today i definately saw a brown bear that was definately climbing a tree!

digi003 plus dvtool kit on a separate computer will work.

i am aware that digi 003 works on a seperate system for protools but not all my projects need to go through protools and would like to use a console in avid for the stuff that do not need protools. since i am the only one using the workstations, they will never be used simutaneuosly so it would make sense to me to just get one console for both but as it stands my only options that are supported right now means i would have to buy 2 consoles, the command 8 and a digi 003 since i cant buy the digi 002 anywhere and i dont want to buy a used system through ebay.

it doesnt make sense to me to buy both the digi 003 and and command|8 when i only am one person using one at a time
