Never even opened my AXP! Now what?

Could someone please give me some options......I got the Academic version of AXP last Xmas but I do not believe my current system will support the program (see my specs).  I have not touched the contents of the box.  The website it was purchased from will not let me return it since it is so late after the purchase date.

I was waiting for when I could afford a nice Macbook Pro and Leopard compatability..well, now this is not possible.  Now that it has been discontinued what should I do?  Do you think it will sell on a popular online shopping site?

Please help me, all you wise Avid fans!

If you are not going to use it - sell it using popular online auction sites.

Thank you for your reply.   But I guess what I'm trying to ask is HOW I could use it if a) my systems won't run it, and b) a new MAC or PC with Leopard/Vista won't support it?  Maybe that will make more sense than my original post...

In that case - I have a dual-core quad 3.0ghz MacPro that runs Xpress Pro and Media Composer just fine and dandy. If you look around you could, easily, find a deal on an old xw8000 or 8200 (with a specd video board) and be ready to go. The OS is not an issue - seeing as you can replace it with the OS you need to run the software... my xw8000 came with W2k - I reformatted the drive and installed XP Pro. Voila.. certified OS on a certified system.
