    Full Screen Playback

    HI,

I have a Media Composer 2.7.4 software with this configuration:

    - Core 2 Duo 2.2

    - 2 GB RAM

    - MSI Video Nvidia GF 8400 GS (256 MB DDR2)

The proeblem is than I can not play the sequence in FULL SCREEN  mode!!

It said: "Check the video card compatibility in the Avid support web site" But I check the System Requirement and it said:

NVidia Quadro FX 560 or higher

    • Note 1: Only Nvidia cards are supported
    • Note 2: Full Screen play feature requires a minimum of 128MB of graphics memory
My video card is Nvidia and is 256MB

If somebody knows something ABOUT IT, please let me know!!

    Thanks and Looking forward...

    Re: Full Screen Playback

The answer is in the details:

"NVidia Quadro FX 560 or higher"

Yes, you have an nVidia card - but your card is not classified as HIGHER than the QUADRO FX line of nVidia cards. That could be a cause of your woes. Although many folks have gotten other cards to work with Avid there is no guarantee.

    Scaling: Project

    Full Screen (Check)

    Display Both Fields (Check)

    Flip on Vertical Sync (Check)

    Expand Luminance for Comp (UnCheck)

Again, before you run out and buy a new video board, do a search on the forums as some user have success with NON-approved boards... quite a few infact... so don't give up hope (or your cash) Big Smile

I have a screen setting of 1280x960. Either way, just try and see if anything works.

Looking for a new configuration, I select "Change to a TV monitor" in Nvidia Panel. the video shut down and now I can't see nothing, but the computer is still ON. I restart it, but the screen  still  is black, no signal...!!!

Anyone knows how to get the video signal again...I need to keep working, please!!
