    How to work with JVC HD camera by .TOD files

    Is Avid MC 2.8.3 support this formats ?

     Not directly, no. According to Avid the only way to use the file is to transcode it to mpg using the cyberlink PowerDirector app that comes with the camera. Then the questin will be...does the Avid import that .mpg file?

    So it was mean Avid can't not use this file,right?

     

    Because of Avid cant import .mpg files.

    Well, check out that app, I don't use it so maybe you have other choices. IF not, drop that .mpg into sorenson and transcode it to somehting the Avid can use.

    Try changing the .TOD to .M2T. In Media Composer 3.0 this might import, certainly worth a try.
