How can I see if the effect is really renderd in HD 10 bit uncompressed?

How can I see if the effect is really renderd in HD 10 bit uncompressed?

In the clip is still the text DNXHD 185x. I set media creation "render" to MXF 1:1 10b. "same as source" is disabled.

Re: How can I see if the effect is really renderd in HD 10 bit uncompressed?

I don't understand the question.  If your clip media is DNxHD 185x, it's 10-bit.  That's what the x suffix means.  If your render settings are set to 1:1 10b, then again when you render you should get 10-bit media.  So where does "same as source" come into it at all?

Or are you asking whether there's a way that you can prove that Avid is doing what is claimed?

If you create a bin heading for just "video" and go to your bin with the sequence containing the rendered effect, choose "show rendered effects" from the bin display options, what do you see for as the resolution for that particular effect?

Re: How can I see if the effect is really renderd in HD 10 bit uncompressed?

I thought "same as source" means if there is DNXHD 185x Avid will render DNXHD 185x but not 1:1 10b. Both 10b but uncompressed is still better. Or is it just that the 8bit to 16 bit setting in each effect will be overruled to always 16bit or 8bit?

Yes I am looking for a prove what Avid is doing.

Yes I can see that it rendered 1:1 10b., when I show rendered effects. Is there no other way to see it in the timeline?

Yes there is. Go into the timeline fast (hamburger) menu and in "Clip text" select clip resolutions.

Also after render it shows DNxHD 185, but I think it is rendered in1:1 10b.
