Pixel Monkey:You know what I'd love to see? Avid add one more button to their "Avid Community" web page. Call it "Editor's Favs" or whatever. When you click on it, it has Avid's own staff of code monkeys, product testers, executives (basically all the "brains in jars" over there) just gushing about their favorite new features. The key would be to list the tried-and-true features, not just the ones that are "supposed to work". That'd be the hard part.
Interesting idea. Maybe as part of the "Tips and Techniques" Forum...

Larry Rubin: My toolsets labelled "edit" and "audio" will stay on whatever monitor you last selected when changing from one to the other. Only with "color correct" and "effects" will they consistently default to the record (sequence) monitor. That makes perfect sense to me, since when in either color correction mode or effects mode, you are making changes to the sequence, never to the source. Yours should work the same way. Do they?

Yes. Just tried that combination and it works. Not sure why the edit and audio workspaces don't do the same thing. Thanks.
Yeah it could be part of the Tips and Techniques forum, but as long as it wasn't a diminishing post. it would have to be there all the time.
Honestly it would rock as a separate location because we could then email the direct link to people.

They can easily do that by making the post a "stickie" with the push pin icon on it. That way, it always stays at the top of the Forum.
