I just seem unable to figure out how to go about this.. What i have is a system with Leopard and MC-3.0 (don't worry no DNA) and i want to hook up a PDW1 and import XD-Cam files into Avid. what troubles me is that i am unable to find the software (not clipbrowser) to support that XD-Cam machine.
Anyone here that can offer me guidance (beware Mac-Noob alert!)
thx, Menno

I have not used it myself, but have lots of trouble with XDCAM HD and Avid. Lots of things in the workflow that still don't work, especially on Mac.
I know I'm in PC land, but all I need are the XDCAM drivers - import through the standard import tool works fine without the browser software via PDW-1500 or PDW1.

Hi Baklap,
I am using a R-1 deck and using XD-cam (not EX/XD-cam) not having a problem. I am not sure where in the menu it is, and I am sure you might have already tried this, but you change the menu setting from ilink to fam and it treats it like a hard drive, not a deck. Hope it helps

I just realized I have FCP loaded on this machine and it has all the xdcam drivers, but that new sony software must have the fam driver in it somewhere.
