We've managed to get a virus on our Unity. Woo Hoo. As soon as we connect any client to Unity it then infects the client also. I can easily install antivirus software on the clients but an very leery of installing antivirus software on the Unity. We're running file manager version 5.1 with three Jbods. I understand each Jbod has it's own computer in it. Would I need to put the antivirus software on each Jbod or what?
You should be able to install an anti-virus software on the engine, clean it up and uninstall it.
See if you can take the engine off the house network to prevent future infections.
NICE!!!
It seems like the Virii is on the Avid File System.... If its my call, i would scan all Avid Partitionm using a good Anti Virus ( AVG would be one ). I wont be worried about the Operating System of the Server or the XT's.
Good Luck.

Your workspaces shouldn't be infected from a Virus on the engine itself- only by files that are viral that exist on the workspaces from OTHER clients.
You can run Norton Corporate AV, (NAV 10) on unity systems without a problem on the file manager. Avid's best practices guide has this information.
