We've been asked to do some Downconverter PAL masters from HDCAM SR at 23.98, and the spec asks for a 2:2 Pulldown.
We've always made the +4.1% acceleratio for PAL Masters, Does somebody know what the 2:2 pulldown is?
Specs: PAL 4:3
Thanks for the help.

A 2:2:2:2 pulldown would be the result of a 4.1% accelration from a 23.976 master. A 2:3:2:3 pulldown form 23.976 with no speed change would create a 59.94 master.

Hi Michael Thanks for the reply! That's what I thought. The wird thing is that they are asking for a 2:2 PAL downconvert from 23.976 at 23.976HZ whic if I'm not mistaken cannot be made cause 2:2 would be 4.1 accelerated and 2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:2:3 (12frames+1field) would not be 2:2.
I thing I'll have to talk to universal QC guy to ask what this spec means.
thanks,
agustin
