Is it better to capure in Sorenson Squeeze?

That may be a loaded question, but I wanted to get your take on that.  I use a Canon XH A1 for most of my work.  And HDV is kind of testy with Avid, so, being that I have Sorenson, could it possibly be better to capture with it then export to Avid?

    Hi,

Even if Squeeze could capture whatever HDV you're shooting, that's still 2 steps (1. Capture in Squeeze, 2. Import into MC), compared to 1 step if you can get it working with Media Composer.

If you tell us what kind of problems you're having, maybe we can get it figured out.

    good luck,
    Carl

I appreciate that - it was more curiosity than anything.  I do import to mc - But, I know that 24f has been kind of a problem with mc.
