I ghosted images of different types of systems as a back up and when I have had hard drive errors I've put the ghost back on which has worked quite well as a quick fix.
I then run a system id number change programme along with creating a new unique user before inputting the original key codes for software , Boris etc.
So far I don't appear to have had any problems because of this but I was wondering if anyone else had ? I heard from somebody recently that if you use Interplay with machines that have been ghosted things don't work that well. Has anyone any experience of this ?
I'd be gratful of any info or advice anyone has.
Thank
I hate television. I hate it as much as I hate peanuts. But I can't stop eating peanuts.

I just installed 20 Interplay client systems using Ghost, and use it almost every day.
The biggest thing to do is run the SID utility, and change machine names and IPs.
Thanks for the reply avidmedic. I have followed the procedures you mention to the letter so I think I should be able to discount the ghostimage being our problem.
Basically we thought the
"exception get media domain type () - unable to get domain type because locater is null " which I posted

was potentially brought about by ghosting and maybe that we should do complete installs in future.
