motion effects, lighting, color correction, blurring effects...

ok...I have LOTS of questions!! Thanks in advance for all y'alls help!

    1. MOTION EFFECTS:

How do I do real time, fast motion, and slow motion?

How do I force my video into a specific amount of time. Example: How do I put 5 mins of video to 1 min (using fast motion)?

How do I do fast motion in REVERSE?

    2. How do I BRIGHTEN up the lighting in my video?

    3. How do I do a COLOR MATCH?

    4. How do I do a COLOR CORRECTION?

    5. HIDING:

How do I hide something (like a brand name) using the blur effect?

And how do I keep it blurred out even when the object is MOVING?

Is this called TRACKING? If not, what is it called (to blur out a moving object) and/or what is tracking then?

Re: motion effects, lighting, color correction, blurring effects...

     1. Look for the "slanted box" button on your source monitor. First mark and in and out on the source clip to define what you want altered, then press that button. Another pop-up lets you customize speed, strobing, etc. Alternately, apply a time warp effect to a clip in the timeline, but read up on time warp effects first. The slanted box approach will create a new clip that is motion controlled.

    2. 3. & 4. Apply a color correction effect from the palette or open the "color correction" toolset. There is a color match feature in the tools. To brighten or darken the image, use the gain, set-up and gamma adjusters. The single biggest quality difference will be seen when adjusting gamma, where you adjust the linierity of the signal. Best done with a REAL waveform and vector monitor.

    5. Apply a blur effect, customize it as you want, and then watch this video for tracking info.

    Have fun!
