I am having trouble with my title crawler tool.

I am using Marqui, and only Marqui because I clicked the option that made it the default title tool. If you know how to get the basic title tool back from the abiss that would be helpful too. I even uninstalled and re installed AMC and the Marqui is still the default, I don't get the option of the basic title tool.

The Crawler, no matter how long I set the duration for always imports to the bin as 7 minutes. I cannot clip it or edit it at all. Am I forgetting something in the Marqui tool that does this?

 If you search the Avid website, there is a very good tuturial on using Marquee.  That may be able to help.

Simply go into Trim mode and make the crawl the length you want it to be. It should speed up the crawl accordingly.

To change back to the simple title tool, open the settings tab in the projects window and click on the Title tool setting. This will open a dialogue box that will give you the option to Select Marquee or Title tool or give you the option you to select which you would like to use each time you open the title tool.

Paris MkVI is correct. To change the duration of the crawl use the trim tool to shorten or lengthen the crawl clip length and Avid will adjust the speed accordingly. This is assuming that you chose the option for the title to remain an Avid Crawl clip and not to have it render out as an animation when you saved it to the bin.
