    Composer Freeze on Vaio with Vista

     Hello There

    I'm trying use Avid Media Composer with a laptop sony vaio with Intel Core 2 Duo, 3Gb ram, Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT and... Windows Vista. The composer window is freeze. Any idea? Thank's!

     You are talking about MC 3.0?

    Well that's your problem then. Anything before 3.0 will not run on Vista. Can you upgrade?

    And good luck. I really do wish you well.

    But everything on your list there is unsupported hardware and OS. So you are going to need a LOT of luck to get it running.

    And you're gonna need Windows XP Pro.

     Your two choices are :

    Stay with 2.7 and change OS to Windows XP Pro SP 2 32 bit

    or

    Upgrade to MC 3.0 and run Vista Business 64.

     

    2.7 will NOT run on VISTA
