I'm doing a green screen effect. The talent is in front of a jpeg image of a set. How do I set the length of time the still image is on the timeline to match the length of the clip containing the talent?
I'm accustomed to Liquid, where you just drag it out to the desired length. So far I have been unable to find the equivalent function in MC.
Thanks for any input.

When you import your JPEG file into the project using the import tool, the import tool options allow you to create a clip up to 60 seconds in length. If you need it to be longer, you can mount the imported clip into the source monitor, mark an in anywhere, and choose "freeze frame" from the clip menu. In that freeze frame menu, you can custom define a longer duration if you need to. For a JPEG image, I would suggest the "use both fields" option when creating the freeze frame.

Perhaps a simpler method would be to just edit in another piece of the same jpeg clip into your timeline. No need to worry about freezing stuff.

That's what I'd do as well.

Just tried it out to make sure, but that entry is not limited to 60 seconds. 200 seconds also worked. When I entered a bunch of 9's, the Avid told me that I could not go above 21600 seconds. That resulted in a 6-hour clip.

Thank you. That was exactly what I needed and it worked. As another post pointed out, the length is not limited to 60 secondse.
This sort of exchange of bits of knowledge in this forum is a wonderful gift. Thanks again.
Ken.
