    deck problems

PENTIUM QUAD CORE,  8 GBYTES MEMORY, VIDEO BOARD MSI 9800, 4 SATA-3 750GBYTES EACH, FIREWIRE TEXAS INSTRUMENT.

We are updating to MC 3.0 and have had the follow problems.

We conected the HDV DECK Sony model HVR M25U via mojo in our system.

When I tried to configure the deck for the correct model, and them go to capture tools, AVID does not recognize the deck, " message  NO DECK"

I am setting my channel on the deck  configuration  to firewire on AVID DNA.

Should I need to configure my video imput to DNA 1394 or component?

I need to finish a vey important  job, and here in Brazil no one to help.

    Thanks very muck

    Re: deck problems

If your only connection between the deck and the platform is firewire then yes, you video input should be configured for 1394. If you are connecting analog R, G and B cables from your deck to the mojo, then the input would be configured for component.

    Re: deck problems

Make sure (in deck's setup) the deck doesn't downconvert the HDV do DV. Sometimes it's useful to switch the deck's format from Auto to HDV. The windows should recognize the deck firstly, then you can use it in Avid. If connection thru the Mojo doesn't work, try disconnecting Mojo, reboot and connect deck directly to your computer.

    Re: deck problems

One other thing, try connecting your firewire cable to a card rather than throguh the MOJO.

    Re: deck problems

I guess  have some problems with the mojo, maybe the firewire input are not working.

When I tried HDV direct to my computer firewire , AVID will recgonize the deck
