I use Avid Xpress DV2 to export as qtref, then convert with AVSP to .avs and feed CCE Basic

with this file. It has worked before but now, after upgrading CCE Basic, I loaded my .mov file, the program started encoding and the first screen turned up:

Saving F:\Mov,Wav filer\stchris.vaf...
I recognized in this window on top right I had
Quantiziser Scale I     -1.#J
        -I.#J

A new window turned up>
CCE encoding failed> OPV VBV ovf frame# 432 *00>00>17>07( I 224 max 176.00 rel 48:00 1.27 qsv +I.#J->/I.#J

I clicked ok and a new window came up:
vinfo_open() failed:*** Could not open the file F:\Mov,Wav filer\stchris.vaf> The system can not find the file specified [Windows errorcode: 0x22]

This is the correct path to my file.
I use Quicktime alternative instead of quicktime since this was recommended to me and I had problems importing into AVSP before.

I know that a lot of people used to feed qtref files to CCE Basic and it worked. Does anyone know what kind of problem I have?

Export QT ref from Avid open CCE Basic and open the QT Ref file. Only times this has caused any problems is if there are unrendered effect in the time line.

I always do a video mixdown and edit that to a top empty video layer in the sequence. Make sure that layer is selected and monitored and export to QT ref. I add the "Mixdown audio option" at QT ref export time.

I get error: unknown type, when I try directly to import qtref.mov into cce basic. I tried to export a sequence only with audio stereo mixdown and video mixdown in it but it doesnt work in cce either.

My qtref.mov files can be viewed as well in media player classic or avsp so I guess there is nothing wrong with them. It has to be cce that messes it up..

avsp is connected to avisynth and works well..

check out cce basic homepage. cce basic isnt supposed to work with qtref files, so hang on to the version you´ve got. I hope this is not part of my problem..

The only problem in thousands of DVD encodes has been the QT changes in PAL field order.

I usually do not take audio into CCE.

CCE basic's current limitation is that it does not support frame sizes above 720 by 576 PAL
