Media Composer 3.0 - Xpress Keyboards - on WinXP

     Hello,

I have migrated from Xpress Pro to Media Composer, now I would like to keep the configuration of XpressPro keyboard's.

I have this file, in Avid Utilities folder: XpressKeyboardSettings.avs

    I put this file in this folder :  c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Avid Media Composer\Settings

    But it's not OK!!!???

How to customize, in Media Composer 3.0, to get in the settings, the keyboard layout Xpress Pro?

    Thanks

    Fabrice

You could just manually map the MC keyboard to match what you're used to in XpressPro.

Or Avid has provided you with the facility to migrate your settings over to MC.  I'm sure there is documentation available on the correct procedure to do this.

Thanks. So, I do it manually. I have drag buttons from the Command Palette to the Keyboard windows. It's OK now.

    Best regards

The readme.doc that comes with 3.0 gives very good instructions on how to use the settings file Avid provided.  It worked great on all 3 of our machines.

Great. I found all explications on ReadMe.doc (p16): Avid Xpress Pro Keyboard Settings. Thanks.
