Hey All,
I just recently installed MC3.0 on my 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MackBookPro, 4GB RAM. I am running Leopard 10.5.2. I went thru the whole install/restart thing and now when I start up AVID I get a Segmentation Fault error and then it force quits.
Anyone, anyone? Thanks for all your help, whoever you may be, Sean
Anyone, anyone?
Thanks for all your help, whoever you may be,
Sean
If anyone knows where to point me to get the answer I need that would be great. I can't use AVID MC 3.0 until I get this figured out and I don't want to have to resort to using FCP 6.
Thanks.
Hi anomaly_7, You indicated that you have Leopard 5.2 running MC 3.0, I think 10.5.3 is recommended for this version of Avid MC. Also you don't indicate the QT version which should be 7.4.5 as well.
I would have a look a Avid specifications for Leopard and QT and make sure you are running the recommended versions first. Then if there is still a problem some of the forum users may be able to help.
Don't forget to full out all your system specs. including any external hardware etc in your profile.
Steve.
OK, here goes...this is my problem.
System Specs are as follows: 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro, 4GB RAM. I am running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.3. I recently upgraded to MC 3.0. Once installed, MC will not start up. It keeps giving me a segmentation fault error.
What I did: Uninstall/Reinstall. Marianna was kind enough to give me an alternate installer from AVID's ftp site. I installed that. I tried calling Tech Support but they accidentally hung up on me and then when I tried to get thru it was after 7PM EST and everyone went home. I was told my dongle is good, so no need for a new versioner. I repaired my permissions.
I have nothing connected to this CPU. No drives, flash memory, nothing. I don't know what else to say.
