When I launch Xpress Pro my digi does not get recognized. I think usually it says Welcome. I get no audio out of Avid now. When I launch Pro Tools LE it says "unable to locate Digidesign hardware."  Anyone have any suggestions? I have had many problems with 3 other Digi's before where they died and had the "Validating" warning.

The system is set up on a certified system on an xw8000. I've tried both firewire ports on the 002 and tried different ports on the computer. When it truns on it says, validating then loading then Digi002 and it's in the standby mode but when I launch Avid no audio comes through it.

Hope someone has a few suggestions otherwise I will finally give up the this 002 as it has been nothing but a headache and a big paper weight.

Did you have it working and it has stopped working? Or is this a new install?

 It was working fine. It was turned off for a few days and turned back on and that's when the problem started.
