Anyone using Media Mover? I have 2 PC Media Composers and I've noticed that when I run MM I am getting ginormous 'folders' called NO PROJECT (along with other folders named for individual projects). When I click on the NO PORJECT folder they display file names that relate to projects on the Avid (media files, not precomputes).
Seems odd that a program that purports to manage media would have big folders that it seems to not be able to figure out what project the media belongs to.
When it works, it is a great program, making cleaning & archiving the Avid a breeze. I have emailed their tech support on this matter, and another, and have not heard back. For reference we do use a lot of P2. However, from the file names, even stuff digitized from tape is falling into NO PROJECT.
I used Media Mover a few years ago but it was updated to use MXF files so I have migrated over to Avid Media Databse Viewer.

I use MDV too. It's a great free tool. Even though the page that Scott directed you to is largely in Russian, there's enough English there to work out what to do. The program itself speaks English.
Interesting, I already have Media Database Viewer on 1 Avid. I wanted MediaMover so that I could transfer files from 1 Avid to another (no unity), however, MDV already does this after I checked your suggestions.
For reference MDV lists all my P2 projects in logical folders....so it works better, AND ITS FREE vs. $150 for MediaMover.
