MC3.0: Deck not properly recognized under Vista-64

I have upgraded to MC3.0 and installed it under Windows XP/SP3 as well as under Vista-64. While under XP the deck (JVC BR50-HD) works, it does not work under Vista-64. The device manager in Vista shows correct recognition of the deck. However, in MC I cannot configure the OHCI-channel correctly. When set-up, it gives the console message, that no communication is possible via OHCI. Does anybody have an idea?

A second more general question: Is it possible to control the deck via RS422 and to receive video and audio via OHCI? If I select "Direct connection" via the appropriate Com-port, I cannot select video in the capture tool. I get the error message, that no signal is received.

    Don't have a clue about #1.

But, for #2 I have done this in the past- I had an older DVCPro deck with no firewire port, so I controlled the deck with RS-422 on a Com channel and ran audio with video via S-VHS to my Sony PD170 & firewire out to my Avid, so I know that will work.

    Good Luck
