    MC crashes on QT over-write

As I try to overwrite an existing Quicktime movie on my hard drive from the MC export function, the MC app SOMETIMES crashes. I don't get the 'file exists' dialog.  Just crashes back to the finder. Or, I'll get the 'file exists, overwrite?' dialog.  Arbitrary or lucky, it's not consistent.  After the app crash, I need to reboot, or flamethrower errors will begin.   Thoughts?

    Hi,

What happens if you delete the file first, and then export it from MC?

    good luck,
    Carl

Re: MC crashes on QT over-write

well, then the app won't crash.  I won't have to re-boot.  It's handier in my view to remain within the app and not have to drop out to the OS each time that action is required.  Photoshop, Motion, AE, and other apps I'm using don't usually crash when I try to over-write.  Motion will sometimes complain that the 'file is in use'.  That's because my finder window highlight is right on that file.

    thanks
