Hi - does anyone know how to select a second row of buttons in the Composer window please (as can be done in Media Composer). I saved my settings from MC on a Mac but they don't seem to have carried over properly and I like to work with 2 rows of buttons. Thanks...
Unfortunately, Xpress Pro does not have the second row of buttons like MC.
In XPRO, right click on your record monitor - the choice should be there. In Media Composer, it's in the composer settings inside your user settings.

Aha... I thought I'd tried that, but maybe not! I look forward to trying tomorrow when I get to work. Thanks so much
That function exists in Media Composer Adrenaline, Newscutter Adrenaline and even in Newscutter XP. I'd be very surprised if it is absent in XPRO.
Hmm, strange. The last time I used Xpress Pro, which was years ago and probably several versions ago, they didn't have the second row of buttons. Maybe I was just looking for them in the wrong place, maybe it as added later....although I sincerely remember them being one of the things that was stripped out of MC to dumb down Xpress Pro.
Thanks everyone for your input. I did check today at work and found no way to display a second row of buttons. I don't know offhand what version of Xpress Pro I'm using at work, but I think it may be a bit old.
The strange thing is that when I imported my settings (from MC v2.7.2 on Mac) into Xpress Pro, the 2 rows of buttons DID appear - but I couldn't carry on using those imported user settings because an unwanted message kept appearing saying that the user profile didn't exist (even though I'd saved it in the correct place). So I had to create a new user profile and re-do all my settings manually - but it didn't seem possible to create a second row of buttons, even though the 2 rows did appear in the user setting that was throwing up the dodgy message... so does that mean it must be possible? A question that may be causing me confusion: is a 'user profile' exactly the same thing as a 'user' (ie the folder containing my saved settings)??
(is that the same as the us
If I take my glasses off a second row of buttons appears, albeit somewhat blurry.

You do get a second row of buttons if you import your composer settings from a MC system. Pro, however, does not have them.
