MC 3 Pan and Zoom problems

having trouble w/ the pan and zoom plugin.  everytime i log back into a project, i have to re-choose the image for each instance of the plugin i'm using. my project is 30i ntsc, SD

    some symptoms:

-once i re-load an image for a particular effect, all the outside images that are in that folder reappear on their respective effect instances in avid

-rendering is really slow. i'm using b-spline catmul, and the render setting in my settings pallet is set for standard.

i did some seraching but came up w/ nothing.  any thoughts?

    thanks, strimps

I have these same symptoms when working from a networked partition. Are your images stored locally or on a network?

they're stored locally, but the partition is neworked (at least it's shared, nothing on the network but my hp station at the moment).  i'll try moving them to another drive.  At the moment, they're on a SCSI archive drive i use to store outside project assests.

    thanks, BLKDog

seems to have solved the problem - i''m assuming this is a bug in the plugin that has been brought to the attention of Avid?  obviously never had this problem before.  Will i get better response from all my media drives if they aren't available on the network?  thanks, strimps.

Well, it's not really a bug as avid has never supported Networked Media drives other than their own Unity systems.
