Half speed on 60i HDcam footage - best way?

    Anyone have any recommendations?

I tried fluidmotion but it will require too many frame-by-frame adjustments.

Someone suggested converting 60i to 60p and then playing back at 30fps, not sure about that.

Can this be done in tape to tape?  It is HDCAM not HDCAM-SR.

Also heard about Magic Bullet but I have never used it.

    Thanks.

60i to 60p would be the fastest method but you lose 1/2 the vertical resolution since each field would need to become a full frame. Have you tried the other motion effects settings such as VTR type or field based?

    Thanks,

I have tried all of the timewarp options and FluidMotion is best by far.  I'm the offline guy, though.

You would think a "camera tech" would know the difference between 60i and 60p.  Even I know this...

Just wanted to make sure there is no simple answer.  We'll narrow it down to selects before fixing the shots.
