    NVIDIA SDI cards and Avid MC

    Hi,

    Does anyone know whether the NVIDIA graphics cards with SDI outputs (Quadro FX 5600 SDI, 5500 SDI or 4600 SDI) can be used to output a video signal from Media Composer?

    Let's put it this way, you are not supposed to be able to output via SDI with any device OTHER than an Avid DNA or DX box. 

    However, I've never tried it so, if you end up getting one, let us know what you find out.

    hmmm.. didn't realize how expensive those cards are.. so won't be looking to try one
