Hello
Just got the new mojo DX and I’m wondering what would be a good studio monitor for color correction
And client proof color questions...
I’m looking at the Panasonic BT-LH1700W 17- Anybody has one of this?
-MOJO SDI with AVID MC 7.0 -XW8400 - 4 Gig RAM -FX3500Nvidia GForce -Internal Sata sys drive, and a SATA 2 drive RAID -Addonics eSata controller ADSA3GPX1-2E on slot 4 -External Addonics Box w RAID 5 with five SATAII 300gig drives
I love the Panasonic monitors. They are Clean, crisp and beautiful. Sony has lagged behind the LCD market, but their newest Luma series monitors are quite nice, but pricey.
When looking at monitors, I would say there are 3.
1. Panasonic's BT-LH1700W (fair price, great monitor for the desk, and has built in waveform)
2. JVC's DT-V17L2DU (Best price/quality. Does not have scope)
3. TVlogic's LVM-171W (No scope, more expensive, has really bad mount. but pretty)
If you are looking at taking in into the field, make sure the unit has a built in fan (JVC). When these LCDs are left in the heat of the sunlight, bad things happen when they get hot.
I took a long look at the TV Logic displays at NAB - great picture. And it does a good job of scaling SD. Like everybody else we do a lot of SD along with HD, so having a decent sized HD display that doesn't mutilate an SD signal would be a big plus.
We're looking at picking up a pair of LVM - 241W's. Could you elaborate on "really bad mount"? I thought the back of the display was ready for a VESA mount.

HP Dreamcolor. The new kid on the block.
How about the JVC DT-V24L1DU 24" ?
Its bigger so it can displays a full 1080
Which one between the PAnasonic 17" and this one would be better for Color correction
and all around viewing and client impressing?
HP DreamColor LP2480zx Professional LCD Display.
