I've got to take an Avid sequence and bins in to Final Cut as our editor doesn't want to use Avid anymore. I've got Automatic Duck going the other way but not this way. I can't afford to buy the Import Pro 2 does anyone have a free way of doing this ?

Why does the editor not want to use Avid anymore?

He can't edit 15:1 it's not 'sharp enough'. I did offer to batch everything thing at dv25 but now he wants to move to FCP 3 days in to the edit.

I'll give anyone what they want , it's what I'm paid to do but this is difficult as I haven't moved in to FCP before. FCP to online in Symphony yes but without Automatic Duck I'm bit worried.

And what resolution does he think he can get in FCP that he can't get in an Avid?

Boy!  He would have loved AVR2!

It's all very bizarre. Anyway I've now downloaded the Duck which if I wasn't a fellow bird I'd glady shoot.

It's semi funtional and you have to manually load each omf which makes it a semiautomatic Duck at best.

It's 2am BST and I'm passing this on to a fellow colleague so I can be in for 8am to explain how it's all working and when I say working I mean semi working.
