    QT Ref to Sorenson

I know that there has been plenty of discussion of sending a QT ref to sorenson, but I could find the same problem I'm having in the forum archives.  Basically I'm trying to export a QT Ref from our MC 2.7 Mojo SDI machine and drop it into Sorenson 4.5.5 for compression.  When I do this, the QT Ref seems to build fine, ref .mov and Wave file, but when I try to bring the .mov file into Sorenson, I get nothing.  It sits there working at it for ever.  The wave file drops in no problem, but what good is it to me if I have no picture.

I'm doing it the same way I have always done it.  The only difference is that this is our new MC 2.7 machine and I have always done it on our older MC 11.8 Meridian machines.

    HELP!

    Re: QT Ref to Sorenson

I often use this workflow to creat FLV videos - so it works in 2.7.3. Have you selected the "Use enabled tracks" "Use marks" in the export options settings? If you have those settings enabled, you have to select all the tracks, you want to have in the exported file (audio and video). What other settings have you choosen?

After you export the QT reference, open it up in QuickTime to make sure it displays properly. If it does but Sorenson still hangs, try re-installing Sorenson.

... and are you using the QT version suggested in the readme of your MC?

    Re: QT Ref to Sorenson

So I highlight all my tracks and mark my sequence in to out and choose Export - Quicktime Reference.  These are the following settings I have tried to use:

    Check - Use enabled Tracks

    Check - Use Marks

    Defaults - Digital Mastering

    Check - Flatten Video Tracks

Check - Fill Spaces with Black

Check - Render All Video Effects

Aspect Ratio - on all my other machines a choose 720x486 but this machine will only let me do 324x243 (weird!!!)

    Check - Mixdown Audio Tracks

    Audio Format - Wave

    Sample Rate - Project

    Sample Bit Depth - Project

    Color Levels - RGB

So I used all these settings in our AXP room and everything worked perfect.  Tried again in the MC 2.7 room and, like I said above, could only get 324x243 and then dropped it into Sorenson, and kaput!
