I give up. Seriously.
I just spent 10 hours working a nightshift, and now I come home to digitize a tape on my Avid Xpress Pro system, and for some magical reason all of a sudden it decides not to recognize my deck anymore (Sony DSR11). So I go through the normal process of trying to Auto-Configure, and the system starts giving me an error, saying that my CELLPHONE is being used by another application. Are you serious?
I'm not sure why I'm even posting this -- I don't think I've ever gotten an answer to a question on this board. I have really been outspoken in my defense of Avid, deciding to go with that as my home system, refusing to do any projects on Final Cut Pro. But honestly, I'm starting to think I might switch over.
If anyone has any idea what is wrong with my Avid, I'd love to know. Also, if anyone can tell me why, when nothing's been changed or touched settings-wise, things all of sudden just stop working... well, if you can answer that, then you hold the secrets of the universe.
So, yadda yadda yadda:
Mac Pro OS 10.4.11
Avid Xpress Pro 5.8
Mojo
Sony DS11
Go to your deck config settings, delete any channels you have there and then remake the channel you wish to use for your DSR-11.
If you get that cellphone error again, could you please take a screen shot and post it?
