    Hi,

What sort of sound card do you have, and what did you install on the computer when you plugged in your Bose speakers (drivers? software?)?  How are the Bose speakers connected to the system?

    good luck,

the sound card is integrated into the mother borad and no drivers where installed into the computer, the speakers basically just come straight out of the heaphone jack. i have sound from  the laptop when i run all other programs, itunes, windows media, eyc. which is why im confused lol.

    Hi,

Do you get Avid sound back if you unplug the Bose speakers?  If your onboard sound is Realtek, it can be flaky when it comes to plugging in stuff.  You might be able to go to Start > Control Panel > Sound to get to the settings and change how it behaves.

    good luck,
    Carl
